At the foot of the Peñas de Aia, we find the Arditurri mines. Of Roman origin, they were in operation until the end of the last century. Today, they are a reminder of the mining history of over two thousand almost uninterrupted years.

A maze of galleries whose upper gallery can still be visited today. From San Sebastian, we can approach them by bike, following the bike path that runs along the route that trains used to connect the Arditurri mines with the port of Pasajes until the last century.
